Mourinho to Barca?

Back in December many of the cules want to replace Frank Rijkaard with Jose Mourinho as the coach of our beloved team, but the board especially our president, Joan Laporta, and our Director for Football, Aitor "Txiki" Beguiristain insisted that they still support Frankie and he's here to stay at least until Laporta's term end. Luckily for us and for Frankie, Barca's performing very well as of late, yet still even if we already reduced the gap from 9 points to 2, many blaugrana fans still want Mourinho. My say to this, ust like what Barca legend Hristo Stoichkov said, Rijkaard is the best manager for Barca. Why? Hristo Stoichov said that in 108 years of Barca it only won 2 European Club Champions' Cup (Champions' League) and the Rijkaard was on the bench when we won the second, we are still on the race for the La Liga, on the Semi-finals of the Copa del Rey (eventhough I was so disappointed that we've only manage a draw against Valencia in the first leg at Camp Nou, after we trashed them at Mestalla earlier in the season), an don the drver's seat on our Champions' League tie with Celtic. It's very hard to be on three competition and still have a chance to win them all. And another if Mourinho replaced him, the beautiful Barca attacking game will also be replaced by a boring defensive game courtesy of "the special one".

Midfield Crisis?

I was reading columns about Barca on goal.com that com when I saw a link about Johan Cruijff disappointment on the team's midfield game when they drew against Sevilla at the Sanchez Pizjuain. He's commenting on how Edmilson, Deco and Xavi ruined the game with their poor passes. But I think I would agree with Xavi(who scored the equaliser) that the mid shouldn't be blamed, the rojiblancos had a great first half. Still, the Barca legend has a point our midfield is not anymore flashy as we won the double in 2006. I think we have to buy a midfielder that create more chances for the forwards just like Deco was doing in his prime. And speaking of Deco, i think we should sell him, if Ronaldinho's form is bad, Deco's form is awful(although he had a great game against Real Zaragoza). Many Premier League teams are still interested in him. We should buy a young creative midfielder like Cesc Fabregas and Luka Modric. Although at this time luring Cesc from Arsenal is impossible because he had just signed a new and improved contract that will keep him with Arsene Wenger at the Emirates until 2016. In Luka Modric's case, we have a ginormous chance of getting him from Dinamo Zagreb because of his statements of wanting to play at the Camp Nou and rejecting Wenger's offer to join the gunners. Eventhough Dinamo Zagreb's boss is not willing to sell him, we still can get him if he will do just what like Eric Abidal did last summer, threatening your club that he will not report to traning if won't get the transfer.
